This was a simulated phishing email. It was sent as part of your organisation's security awareness programme.

Had this been a real attack, the credentials you just entered would have been compromised. Common signs to watch for in future:

  • Unexpected requests to "view a document" or "verify your account"
  • Sender addresses that look almost right but aren't quite
  • Pressure to act quickly
  • Links whose hover-text doesn't match the visible URL

If you spot something suspicious in your inbox: report it to your IT or Security team.
